Mike Pauly, Newcastle to Hobart

StartFragment

Mike is still in Wollongong and I think he may be enjoying his short stay.

Purely by accident he met up with friends who share a love of the Music Festivals.

He went to dinner with them and he will be spending the night at their home, albeit some 30 km from Wollongong.

During the evening he joined in some vocal gymnastics with the group Voicemale.

Mike has only developed his interest in singing groups during the last 3-4 years and I believe his groups choirmaster, along with Mike, is a member of the Freomens Shed

He was going to watch/be part of the Festival of Song Parade during the day but could not make it.

He was interviewed by the ABC and I think that may have taken more time than Mike allowed for.

He will be leaving the trolley at an Army Disposal Store overnight and will collect it when they open tomorrow.

Then it is back on the road again (that is a good title for a song) heading south towards the border (I was going to say the Mexican Border but decided not to)

Some time back Mike passed through the area where I live and I finally got to meet the “Man”. With me was someone who had worked with Mike some 30 years ago.

I have included a couple of photos of that day.

The caricature is by Peter Lewis, cartoonist for the Newcastle Herald. Peter offered his services to Shed Members at the AMSA Mens Shed Conference-at no cost to the members.

You can see some of his works on his website, peterlewisart.wordpress.com
