Mike Pauly, Adelaide to Perth

StartFragment

Mike has had a slow day today, leaving Dublin at about 6:00 am.

At about 3:00 when I spoke to him, this was his view of the highway ahead. It looks like it goes on forever.

At that point there was enough bitumen at the side of the road for him to walk on while cars passed.

At other times it was too narrow and a difference in height between the bitumen and gravel of about 20 cm so he would have to abandon the bitumen for the gravel.

He is about 18 km from Port Wakefield and it seems unlikely he will make it there today.

I think Mike will be stocking up with supplies at Port Wakefield as his food stocks are running a bit low at the moment.

Repairs carried out on the trolley appear to be holding up which is a blessing.
