Mike has had a good walk today covering about 29 km so far on open roads where there is little or no shade and high temperatures.

When you say it quickly, there is only another 63 km to Port Augusta, it doesn’t sound very far, does it?

Prior to arriving in Port Germein he found a spot to have a rest and eventually dozed off and found that a short nap can be very refreshing.

He called into Port Germein and enjoyed a couple of cups of tea, served from a caravan of all things.

It is now “All aboard for Port Augusta”, no more towns or places to enjoy a refreshing cup of tea.

Having left Port Germein at about 1:15 he has now found a shady spot on the highway so he is having a break from the heat.
