Mike had favourable conditions yesterday and covered about 35 km arriving in Penong just after 6:00 pm.

He tried to arrive prior to the General Store closing but missed the deadline.

Normally this would not be an issue as he could have had a nights rest and stocked up at the store next morning.

the only thing wrong with that theory is that today, Monday, is a public holiday and everything is closed-even in Penong.

The next store is 1000 km away and he needs to replenish the water supply.

Mike stayed overnight, camping out thus saving $20 which he can spend on water.Being the resourceful Mike that he is, he managed to get hold of a 10 litre pack and a truck driver is going to drop it off at an intersection about 20 km west of Nundroo

At the moment Mike is about here in relation to Penong.

He will walk into the evening before stopping. The forecast for tomorrow is for some showers which may be a bit uncomfortable but at least it will be cool.

His knee is what he describes as normal which means giving him a bit of bother but at least it is no worse.
