Mike Pauly, Newcastle to Hobart

StartFragment

Well at last an uneventful day, apart from a slow leaking tyre.

After a restful night Mike was dropped of at the car dealership in Arncliffe where he left the trolley parked.

He couldn’t get it until about 9:30 after waiting from about 7:45.

Then he was on his way.

At about 3:30 I spoke to him and he was at Gymea and I have just checked the map and he has reached Sutherland.

This is where he had arranged for a spare wheel to be sent. He felt uncomfortable not having the spare with a lot of kilometres in front of him.

He now has to decide which route he takes from here.

He can continue along the Princes Highway which I believe turns into a Motorway with B Doubles and other trucks hurtling past or take the road through the Royal National Park.

This road is winding and not very wide which would make it uncomfortable pushing his trolley.

Local advice would be the thing to seek I think.

Hopefully the weather holds like it was today and he makes good progress tomorrow.
