Mike is passing through an area where the phone reception is somewhere between bad and non-existent.

I have checked his last know location and the lost signal coincides with poor reception area on Telstra coverage map.

This will be the case for a while but when speaking to him this morning he plans to be in Kimba sometime tomorrow.

He needs to visit the hospital to have his feet looked at as a follow up after visit to Whyalla Hospital.
